Throughout her father's career in the USAF she lived in many places of the USA, including Georgia, Texas, and Washington. While living in North Carolina she met her future husband, Daniel Collins and had a daughter, Melanie.
She then moved to South Carolina and Tennessee before finding a passion for helping young women by working with the Girl Scout Council of Mountains to Midlands in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She will be much missed there.
She leaves behind her husband: Daniel Collins; a daughter: Melanie Jackson nee Collins; a son in law: Justin Jackson; two grandchildren: Danny and Becca; and brothers: Joe Van Norman of North Carolina and Richard Van Norman of Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Mike Hall, Fred Hall and Ron Van Norman; and by sister: Frances Rios.
