Ronald "Ron" Scobee, 72, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2022.

He was born in Lamar, Colorado on July 10, 1949 to Eugene and Alberta Joy Scobee. He grew up in the Walsh and Two Buttes area in southern Colorado. From the age of 5 to 18, he worked on his grandfather and father's farms in the fields.

Ron was an adventurous person. His jobs involved contracting and employment doing dynamite blasting demolition, Hazmat waste facility cleaning for the Department of Defense, bomb tech, and heavy equipment operator. He owned his own business named Scobee Blasting-Drilling, Blasting & Demolition in Texas. His work took him all over the United States and other countries including the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Guam, the Philippine Islands, Wake Island, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Fort Ord in California, FEWAFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Hawaii, Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. He made many friends throughout his career.

In 2004, he met his wife, Darlene Herman and they married in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Randy Scobee (Karina) Scobee of San Marcos, Texas, David Scobee (Mary) of Dale, Texas; stepson, Troy Grenemyer (Bev) of Choteau, Oklahoma; brothers, Rod Scobee (Betty) of Mesa, Arizona and Donald Grenemyer (Barbee) of Wagoner ,Oklahoma; sisters, Teresa Cogburn of Walsh, Colorado, and sister, Bety Fercking (Rod) of Garden City, Kansas; brothers-in-laws, Darrell Herman (Shirley) of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Larry Herman (Wanda) of Loveland, Colorado, and Bruce Kevin Herman of Cheyenne; aunt, Marilyn Bullard of Pueblo, Colorado; along with many grand and great grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Dean Scobee; granddaughter, Rebecca Grenemyer; grandson, Jason Purcell; and in-laws, Velma McDonald (Floyd) and Rudy Herman.
