David enjoyed life and he loved his family. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing or riding his motorcycle. He was a jokester, loved to play tricks, and tell ornery jokes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church. David was a Marine, a Police Officer (drug task force), and truck driver. David touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Robert Wells.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his daughters Lois Adkins and husband Norm of Oregon, WI, and Susie Varnon and husband Chris of Tahlequah; his stepson Tony Woodward of Tulsa; his sisters Barbara Heishman and husband Dale of Montezuma, IA, brother Michael Joranger of Tahlequah, and half sister Linda Joranger of Eugene, Oregon. He had nine grandchildren: Amanda, Cliff, Bradley, Ashlyn, Sydney, Harlee, Taylor, Renessa, and Glenn; seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Joelle, Ahnalee, Tala, Liam, Alexandria, Ella Grace. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and other relatives.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most
High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91
Dave was our Brother in Christ and a great friend of Rons for 40 years. He rented from us on our property and saw one another almost daily. We would all sit or stand around talk, laugh and be filled with Joy. We all attended church together three times a week. Brother Dave was a great man of god and certainly had all the fruits of the spirit. He was honest, trusting, thoughtful, caring, giving, companionate and loved life.
Brother Dave was strong in faith and trust in God until it was time to go home to his heavenly mansion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We have so many beautiful memories with Dave and we are so honored to call him our brother, our friend.
God has blessed us with a dear brother whom we love.
Although we both have big holes in our hearts and tears in our eyes, we are peaceful because we know where he is. Heaven is glorious.
Our brother Dave was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Until we meet again, we will cherish all the lovely memories.
We love you Brother.
