Linda Gayle Lingwall Clay

Linda Gayle Lingwall Clay, age 54, passed away June 21, 2022 after a three-year battle with cancer. Linda was born in Salt Lake City, UT on February 3, 1968 to David Karl Lingwall and Carla Gayle Curtis. She was the oldest of six children.

Linda married her high school sweetheart, Michael Charles Clay, August 23,1990, in the Salt Lake Temple. Michael and Linda were blessed with four wonderful sons, Colton, Connor, Carson, and Colby. Linda was devoted to her family. One of her greatest joys in life was being a wife and mother. She was always thinking of ways to love, serve and teach others in any way she could.

Linda graduated from Weber State in nursing. She spent her life in service to others. She was a talented seamstress. She served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life and was indeed a true follower of Jesus Christ.

Linda loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed running, biking, hiking, dancing, camping, and traveling. She ran the Ragnar Relay several times and completed the LoToJa cycling race, biking 200+ miles.

Linda is survived by her husband Michael, their children, Colton, Connor (Abigail), Carson and Colby; father David Lingwall; mother-in-law Barbara Clay; siblings: Clinton Lingwall, Jeanine Lundell Flygare (David), Steve Lingwall (Kristi), Nathan Lingwall (Angela), Brent Lingwall (Brianna), Laurie Banks, Leslie Blain (Rod), and Shawn Clay (Cori); As well as loving nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Carla Lingwall; father-in-law Charles Clay; and her faithful pug Molly.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the L.D.S. Church at 3649 West 4800 South, Roy, Utah. Friends and family may call Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at the L.D.S. Church at 3649 West 4800 South and from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on Thursday. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
