Walter Samuel Gabennesch, 87 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC died November 29, 2021.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 1, 1933 a son of the late Walter Stephen Gabennesch and Elizabeth Watkins Gabennesch. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Gertrude Maxine Cashwell Gabennesch.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Merchant Marines. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated several food service businesses.
Surviving are sons, Gerald W. Gabennesch (Diane) of Dallas, TX, Walter S. Gabennesch (Alix) of Covington, KY and Timothy S. Gabennesch (Jill) of Ft. Thomas KY; brothers, Howard Raymond Gabennesch of Vinsin, IN and Michael Stephen Gabennesch of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Nancy May Davis of Westchester, OH; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Clifton, OH at a later date.
