Charles William Barker, 84, of 1960 23rd St. NE, died Wednesday. He was born in Kings Lynn, England. He moved to the United States in 1902, Oregon in 1909 and Salem in 1925. He was a World War I verteran and a member of the Jason Lee Methodist Church. He worked as a pharmaceutical salesman before his retirement. Survivors include his daughter, Evelyn May Bumgarner, Milwaukie; brother, Herb Barker, Salem; and sister, Edith Ismert, Pistol River. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary. Private interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
