Michael Alfred Thomas, 60, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 24, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, after an extended illness.
He was born in Dayton, TN, grew up in Spring City, TN and had lived in Kingsport most of his life. Mike traveled all over with his job before being located in Kingsport.
Mike was a supervisor in the Maintenance Department at Domtar. He was a member of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his dog, Scrappy Doo. He enjoyed being goofy and making people laugh.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Rachelle Glynn and Courtney Necessary and husband, Eddie; mother, Maxine Thomas; brother, Scott Thomas; sister, Trisa Thomas; dog, Scrappy Doo; and many other loved family members; special friends, Tonya Hester, Terri Thomas, Matt Cooper, Marcy Short and Pastor Paul Sheaffer.
Celebration of Life service will be at 6:30 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at West Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Sheaffer officiating.
