Margaret "Maug" Sorrell Robinson, age 87, was called to her heavenly home Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of the late Manford Sorrell Sr. and Beulah Jasmin Sorrell.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four dedicated siblings: Patricia Sorrell, Ronald Sorrell, Manford Sorrell Jr., and Stephen Sorrell Sr.; sisters-in-law: Deldora (James) Watson and Harriette Johnson Sorrell; Goddaughters: Keyonia C. Smith and Jinz Coleman Broussard; devoted family member: Sharon Buggage; dedicated neighbor: Dena Read; and other close neighbors and friends.
She was united in holy matrimony to her beloved husband Richard Robinson Jr., and shared 50 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Philip and Rudolph Sorrell.
Margaret is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Robinson was a devout Catholic. She was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, and an active member of Light of Word Prayer Group for many years.
A public walk-through visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 4pm-6pm.
Relatives, friends of the family, members of Transfiguration of the Lord, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, 5621 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation 8am-10am. Mass will begin at 10am. Entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
