Larry Lee Harris, 82, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY. He was born January 3, 1940, in Brodhead, KY, to the late Clyde and Almeda Halcomb Harris.
Larry was of strong Christian faith, he attended and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, KY. He was ordained as a deacon on June 6, 1973. Larry loved to serve his Lord, his church, and community; and he did so in many different capacities throughout the years.
Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Hunt Harris; one daughter, Sandy (Jonathan) Frey; one son, Timothy (Jennifer) Harris; two granddaughters, Madison (Josh) Caplinger, and Kiersten Harris; three sisters, Beverly Harris (L.A.) McKinney, of Mt. Vernon, Brenda Caudill, of Lexington, and Gwen (Keith) Goodin of London, KY; one brother, Leslie Harris, of Mt. Vernon. In addition to these, Larry leaves behind a host of family, church family, friends, and neighbors who will greatly miss him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, with Bro. Landon Copley officiating. Burial will follow at the Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 365 E. Tom T. Hall Blvd., Olive Hill, KY 41164.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Larry's memory to the First Baptist Church sound system fund.
Tony Bond, Ben Harmon, Grady Lowe, Troy Roark, Wayne Russell, and Derrick Stevens will serve as pallbearers.
