Eric Daniel Jenkins, age 49 of Somerset, KY, died unexpectedly on June 24, 2022 of a heart attack. He was born on March 6, 1973 in Niceville, Florida.
Eric was loved so much by his family and friends. He was funny, happy, easy going, and just a joy to be around.
He is survived by his parents, Debra Strehl and Donald Jenkins; grandmother Grace Stringer of Ferguson: his children: Kylie Danielle Jenkins (he always said that Kylie had the beauty and the brains, and that he was proud of her as she is finishing her masters at Mercer in Atlanta, GA, Aiden Marcum (whom he adored and has been his dad since birth), Mackenzie Brummett (whom he loved as his own); Eric left behind his love and fiancée Tiffany Triplett of Conley Bottom and son Ashton; brothers: Jeremy Paul Jenkins of Somerset (who Eric said was a perfect person) and Michael Jason Jenkins Smith (who was the beat of his heart) and his wife Carol; sister Jessica Renee' Jenkins Milford (whom he always referred to as baby) and her husband and Eric's brother Justin (who helped him get right with God); he loved his brother at work whose name was also Eric. Eric Jenkins and Eric McDonald were the dream team of construction along with his dad Jeff McDonald, Donny Sears, and Jason Prewitt of Williamsburg Independent School. Eric credits his dad, Donny Jenkins for his carpentry knowledge and his work ethic, of which he was very proud. nieces and nephews: Grace and Garett Milford, Riley (Hana) Meridian Smith Norfleet, Jadon Smith, Sadie Smith and Dan Isaacs; uncle Mark Isaacs and aunt Tammy (Holly and Darren); great aunts: Glenna Palm and Geneva Burke of Florida and Patricia Bates, Polly Duncan of Somerset, Robyn and Jackie Christopher; many other relatives and friends.
