Linda S. Daugherty, 79, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born March 22, 1943 in Evansville to the late Clarence "Bud" and Thelma (Brown) Miller.

Linda retired from JC Penney after working there for 17 years. She was a former member of Calvary Temple. Linda was a loving mother and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and listening to gospel music. Linda also enjoyed going fishing and watching NASCAR.

She is survived by her son, James (Lorie) Mercer, daughters, Sharon (Nicholas) Langen and Kelly (Mark) Schmitt; son, Clayton (Cheryl) Daugherty; grandchildren, Jamie Kennedy, Jessica Kennedy, Brandon Mercer, Jacob Mercer, Christopher (Ali) Langen, Kayla (Mitch) Osterhage, Daniel (Tracey) Schmitt, David (Brandy) Schmitt, Steven Schmitt and Drake Daugherty; great grandchildren, McKenzie Kennedy, Camden and Matthew Mercer, Krueger, Kaiser and Decker Langen, Harper Sue and Theo Nicholas Osterhage, MaKinzee, Cameron and Nathanial Schmitt; sister, Nancy Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Brake, Donna Shiver, Sharon Miller and Kathy Greenberg, and great granddaughter, Delilah Hammers.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 . Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dale Beaver officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
