JIMMY R. "JIM" SIMMONS, 70, of Roanoke, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in April of 1951, in Kokomo, Ind., Jim was a son of the late Douglas R. and the late Louise Simmons. A 1969 graduate of Kokomo High School, Jim was a manager at the north-end (of Kokomo) Dairy Queen. In 1977, he purchased the Dairy Queen in Frankfort, Ind. He was the owner of the Dairy Queen in Gas City, Ind. Later, he was a long-time employee of the Fort Wayne Foundry.
