Obituary of Lee Anne Roper Hicks

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 28, 2020, at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden, AL for Mrs. Lee Anne Roper Hicks, age 75, of Corner, AL, who passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Pastor Michael Cox will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Lee Anne spent many years working for Olan Mills. She was a graduate of Auburn University and was an avid Auburn sports fan. She was a member of Church H2O (formally Forestdale Freewill Baptist Church). She enjoyed spending her retirement with her dog PJ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Earl Roper; mother, Allie Ruth Webb Roper; and chosen brother, Homer Ray Click.
Lee Anne is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Mathews and Tracy Helms; grandchildren, Michael Ozbolt, Angel Ozbolt, Samantha (Jesse) Bullock, and Meghanne Helms; and great grandson, Alex Dobbins. She is also survived by her extended family, Sissie Click, Lisa (Steve) Langner, Carol Fritts, Jason (Charity) Mayo, Jordan Mayo, Caylee Mayo, Renae (Mike) Castle, Hannah Castle, Jennifer (Danny) Hill, Andrew Hill, and Micah Hill.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Bullock, Alex Dobbins, Andrew Hill, Micah Hill, Danny Hill, and Jordan Mayo.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Michael Ozbolt, Troy Helms, Steve Langner, and Donnie Middlebrooks.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Church H2O's new property fund.
The family will accept friends from 10:00am until 10:45am at the funeral home on Tuesday.
