Robert Lawerence Craig, age 82, of Strongsville, Ohio went home to be with his Lord on June 22, 2022. On March 14, 1940, he was born to the late Frederick Lawrence Craig and Beulah Irene (Todd) Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Judie (Allen) Craig (1945-2016), sister Carol Louise Craig (1934-2001), and sister Phyllis Lee (Craig) Rose. He is survived by nieces Mary Elizabeth Rose of Delaware, Ohio, Susan G. Rose (Edwin) of Delaware, Ohio, Alison Ritchie of Columbus, Ohio, and Molly (Rose) Stockton (Jason) of Covington, Kentucky.
Robert enlisted in the Army immediately after graduating from Berea High School, where he specialized in communications overseas. Always a proud veteran of the armed forces, Robert carried on his life of service with his involvement in community service, including lifelong membership in the Kiwanis organization. Robert called several places home, including Cleveland, Bucyrus, and Strongsville, as he rose through the ranks of finance culminating in retirement from Key Bank. Robert's favorite work activity was teaching. Throughout his career he taught Finance and Banking principles at many different educational institutions, including The Ohio State University.
Robert was an avid golfer. He and Judie loved to travel to famous golf courses all over the country to play and soak up the rich culture of Pebble Beach, Augusta, Muirfield, and Maui, to name a few. His love of golf and travel was something he and Judie, the love of his life, enjoyed and shared.
Robert was also an avid music lover and supporter. He was an attendee and philanthropist of the arts in Cleveland supporting the Cleveland Symphony, Baldwin Wallace Conservatory, and the Cleveland Playhouse. His philanthropic endeavors also reached into his community supporting college scholarships for community young people, Kiwanis projects, local colleges, and church outreach.

Services will be held at the Jardine Funeral Home at 15822 Pearl Rd Strongsville, Ohio on July 1, 2022 where the family will receive friends for visiting from 4:00 to 6:00 with a service at 6:00.
