Mary Garcia, age 67, passed away peacefully in her home on March 5, 2022. She was born on November 10, 1954 in Brownfield, Texas to Amador Garcia and Tomasita Castillo.

Mary was employed by Health and Human Services for 13 years until she retired. She loved dancing, listening to music, playing Bingo, and gambling. Mary enjoyed sewing but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amador Y. Garcia.

Mary is survived by her two children, Andrea Garcia of Banquete, Texas and Andrew Garcia of Robstown, Texas; three grandchildren, Abby, Alie, and Ryan Garcia; siblings, Amador (Maggie) Garcia, Jr. and Irma "Mimi" Garcia both of Banquete, Texas; and mother, Tomasita C. Garcia; nieces and nephews, David, Amy, Jason, and Kevin Garcia and Marcos Romero; and great nieces, Ava, Sophia, and Emelia.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E Main St., Alice, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Banquete, Texas. A Christian Burial will follow at Banquete Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
