LuAnn graduated from U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. On August 6, 1972, she was united in marriage to William Richard "Bill" Baker in Oklahoma City. They lived in Yukon before moving to Alva in 1981. She worked as a branch office administrator for Pat Harkin at Edward Jones until her retirement.
She was a very active member of the Alva First United Methodist Church, helping with Vacation Bible School and the Children's Ministry. She later attended the Alva Church of God where she enjoyed lunches and day trips with the ladies group. She also enjoyed traveling, and went on an overseas trip a couple of times. She was very active in supporting her kids activities in schools and was a member of all of the Black and Gold and Goldbug groups when her kids were involved.
LuAnn is survived by one daughter, Erin Stuck and husband, Tim, of Alva; one son, Chris Baker and wife, Janie, of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Deborah Cox and husband, Bruce, of Edmond, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kimberly Antonio and husband, Brandon, of Alva, and Andrew and Olivia Baker, both of Denver; three nephews, Zane Shaw of Edmond, Geoffrey Shaw and wife, Alyssa, of Oceanside, California, and Harrison Shaw of Norman; her grand dogs, Bud, Zoie, Maxx, Noche, and Lady; other relatives and friends.
