Oklahoma City, OK – Donald Albert Evans, USAF, Retired, 88 of Oklahoma City, Ok, passed away at Integris Hospice House on Monday, June 28, 2022. A memorial graveside service will be held at the Temple Cemetery in Temple, OK at 11:00 am Friday, July 15, 2022. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Alzheimer's Research via https://www.alz.org/oklahoma

Don was born April 4, 1934, in Temple, Oklahoma, to Johnnie Viola Coe Evans and Albert Oren Evans. Don joined the Air Guard at the young age of 14 until he was 16. At age 17, he joined the Air Force. During his 20 year career in the Air Force, Don served in Vietnam and Germany and was stationed at many bases throughout the U. S, earning a rank of MSGT. Don was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Viet Nam. While stationed at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Ok he met and married Maudie Gladys Yost. During their 15 year marriage they raised three children, Linda Kay Evans, Patricia Ann Evans and Charles Scott Evans. After his military retirement, he operated several businesses. His last beginning in 1987, he operated the Twilight Club for 25 years.

Preceding Don in death are his parents, his sisters Barbara Janell Thomasson, Jehrie Sue Hurst, and Janie Rue Roth. Don is survived by his sisters Jereada Louise Bowers and Jo Ann Meyers and brother Ronald Evans. Don is also survived by his children, Linda Evans Shingleton and her husband Keith Paul Shingleton, Charles Scott Evans and Patricia Ann Bellows and her husband Michael Grant Bellows. Also surviving Don are his grandchildren, Bryan Keith Shingleton, Simon Bryce Shingleton, Carolyn Elaine Shingleton Goldman, Rejeana Michelle Bellows Younkin, Michael Jason Bellows, Christopher Donald Bellows, Brian Matthew Bellows, April Renee Bellows Applewhite, and Garry Tyler Bellows. He had 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
