Gloria began her carillon studies with Janet Dundore, carillonneur at St. Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh, Pa., continuing with Beverly Buchanan, and she achieved carillonneur status in the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 1997. She served as carillonneur at Calvary Episcopal Church, Williamsville, N.Y. from 1977–2020 and at the Rainbow Tower Carillon, Niagara Falls, Ont., 1987 -2001. She oversaw three carillon renovations (one at the Rainbow Tower, two at Calvary Church) and was also handbell choir director at Calvary Church. She was elected to the GCNA board in 1993 and served as president, 2000 – 2002. A concert in thanksgiving for her life was performed at Calvary Church on June 26, 2022.
A private graveside service was held Friday. Gloria was actively involved in her community and found enjoyment in sharing her lifelong love of music with others. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York.
