Mary Jane Decker, age 85, of Ashland, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Mary Jane Kelbley January 11, 1937 in Fostoria, Ohio. She married Gene Decker on January 15, 1955. He predeceased her in 1991. She moved to Missouri in 1955 and worked at Shelter Insurance as an assistant underwriter for over 35 years, retiring in 1999.
Jane was the proud mother of three sons, David (Mariam) of Rocky Mount, Mark (Charlotte) of Columbia and Donald, who preceded her in death. She was an avid quilter and loved to take trips to local plays with her friends. Family was her most cherished asset. She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of Newman Center, but often attended the services at the VA with Father Patrick.
Memorial services were held at St. Thomas More Newman Center, 602 Turner Ave. in Columbia on Friday, March 25, 2022.
