James E. Morris

On Monday, June 20, 2022, James Eddy Morris passed away. He was born on August 21, 1946, at Shreveport, Louisiana. James Morris served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1973 and was stationed in Vietnam for one year.

James was a diesel truck driver. He was employed by General Electric for ten years, and Saia Motor Freight for thirty years located in Shreveport. He loved fishing, playing golf, and baseball. He coached his son in baseball and enjoyed many fishing trips with Matt.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his father, Henry Fred Morris; mother Elba Cole Morris; two brothers, Sam Morris and H.F. Morris.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Matt Morris of Shreveport.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the charity of your choosing.

A graveside military service will be held at 2pm Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville at 7970 Mike Clark Road.
