Christine passed into eternal life on June 16 in Las Vegas, NV following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her loving husband Jadrien Garcia, devoted children Leilani Regal, Maya Regal and Evan Garcia, loving parents Kevin and Diane McGinty, caring siblings Daniel (Mary Ellen) McGinty, Colin (Robbie) McGinty, Thomas (Lisa) McGinty, Maureen (Trevor) Caldwell, 12 nieces and nephews, loving mother-in-law Tarra Garcia and father-in-law Benito Garcia, brothers-in-law Joshua Garcia and Jacob Garcia, sister-in-law Mariah Garcia, and multitudes of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Christine was born in Big Spring, TX, lived in Concord, CA and grew up in Gilroy, CA. She graduated from St. Mary School, Notre Dame High School, Salinas, and the University of California Santa Barbara where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a lifelong learner and earned a PhD in Natural Health and a Masters in History. Christine held various leadership positions throughout high school and college. She volunteered at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Christine played beach volleyball, was a certified scuba diver, paddled on a Hawaiian outrigger canoe racing team, went skydiving, and finished the San Francisco Nike Women's Marathon. She was a devoted mother and served on various parent committees at her children's schools.

Most recently Christine worked as a Certified Financial Planner with Fidelity Investments and formerly served as a senior advisor with TDAmeritrade and JPMorgan Chase. She was responsible for the initial promotion and membership development for the City of Morgan Hill's Centennial Recreation Center, sold ads for The Phone Book, was a server at the World Café in Lahaina and the Hula Grill in Kaanapali during her eight years in Hawaii. Christine also lived on the North Shore of Oahu and founded Sugar Mill Inc., an incubator for small businesses. She was recognized by the governor of Hawaii for her selection to the Pacific Business News' Forty Under Forty, honoring the "best and brightest young leaders." Christine was honored by the American Red Cross for donating gallons of blood over the years.

Her love of travel began when Christine journeyed to France at age 16 to visit an exchange student who had lived with her family, and then she visited relatives in Germany. During college she studied in Ecuador for a semester and visited nearby countries and Jamaica. She went on cruises with her grandmother to Alaska and Mexico and sailed through the Panama Canal to Columbia. Christine also visited Morocco and Spain and sailed as a crew member on a yacht to the Canary Islands. Her travels took her to 17 countries on 4 continents.

Christine's life will be celebrated during Mass at St. Mary Church, 11 First Street, Gilroy at noon on Saturday, July 23. A rosary will be prayed at St. Mary Church at 7:00pm on Friday, July 22.
