James Franklin "Jim" Evans, 87, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on June 22, 2022.

He was born on July 26, 1934 in Robeson County, NC.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later worked as a supervisor in textiles.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Casson Wayne Goldsmith; his parents, Lawrence Evans and Eva Mae Evans; his sisters, Pat Nance and Loyce Sanderson; and a brother, Elton Evans.

Jim is survived by his wife, Pauline Evans of the home; two sons, Ronald Patrick Evans of Lumberton, NC and James Franklin Evans, Jr. (Susan) of Lumberton, NC; three daughters: Rita Elaine Kissam (Danny) of Bay Tree Lakes, NC, Anita Gail Evans of Lumberton, NC, and Rose Carroll (Jeff) of Bladenboro, NC; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Milton Evans (Joanne) of Lumberton, NC and Richard "Dicky" Evans (Joyce) of Lumberton, NC.

The funeral services will be held in Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC. The burial services will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC.
