She was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on October 20, 1951, the daughter of Handy and Gertrude (Thomas) Foy. Both parents preceded her in death. Her longtime companion, DeWitt Mayes, survives in Lima.
Linda worked, and retired from the Fairfield Inn. She was blessed to come from a large family, she was close with her many siblings. Her loving and close-knit family include; daughters, Tonia (Shawn Youngblood) Williams of Lima, Angela (Abraham) Goode of Lima, and Felisha Mayes of Lima. She had one son: Maurice Williams, of Lima.
Her surviving siblings are; sisters: Delois (Willie T.) McGee, Gertha Jelks, and Julia Mason; her brothers: Theodis (Willa Jean) Foy, Doc (Joan) Foy, and Sylvester "Pete" Foy. Linda had a group of friends that she enjoyed very much; Denise Randall, Glenda Cowan, Patricia Strong (Deceased), Lillie May, Mae Francis-Harris and Patty Emma. And a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters; Annie Grace Holiday, and Sarah Sims, and brothers; C.T. Foy, Clifford Foy, James Foy, Willie Foy, and Mathes Foy.
A brother-in-law, Albert Jelks, also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at HANNEMAN-SIFERD FUNERAL HOME, 506 N. Cable Rd., Lima OH 45805 on Friday, July 1,2022 from 11am-1pm with a Homegoing Service at 1 pm, officiated by Willie T. McGhee, and Pastor Paul Johnson. Burial will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery.
