Dr. Thomas A. Brown died, 79, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022 in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation taking place one hour prior. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery at a later date.
Tom was born December 17, 1942 to Harold and Mary Brown in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
He graduated from North High School and Iowa State University. He continued his education at the Medical School at University of Iowa specializing in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Brown owned his own practice for many years in Des Moines.
He married Marcia Hudson Brown and from this union three children were born.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed travelling, swimming and carrying on the family tradition of owning farm land.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marcia, and his brothers, Don and Dave.
