Iowa Births and Christening Records cite Verne's birth as 20 Aug 1899.
The birth and death years on the tombstone are a year early than the coroner records. This presents a problem with Grace, the fourth child's birth year as 1898 (numerous sources).
Grace was born 6 Jan 1898 and Verne was born 20 Aug 1898 it is only 7 months 14 days between births.
Therefore, I am using the dates recorded in the Coroner Records and Iowa Birth Christening Records for Verne's birth and death.
