May Evelyn Knapp married Alvah Manson and was the daughter of Charles and Roxcynthia Knapp. They had daughters Evelyn R., b. abt 1869, and Lottie E., b. abt. 1871. By 1880, Alvah and his family had relocated to Warsaw, New York, where he practiced his trade of housepainter. Their daughter Evelyn was a photographer. She never married and was living with her parents as late as 1920.

OBIT: Mrs. May Evelyn Manson. On Tuesday morning 4/8/1930 at her home on Genesee St., Warsaw occurred the death of Mrs. May Evelyn Manson, for many years a resident of this village and one of its best known and most loyal citizens, May Evelyn Knapp and was born Perry Village 7/9/1844 and was the daughter of Charles H. and Roxcynthia Worden Knapp, both members of pioneer families of Wyoming County having come to this county from Conn. before 1825. Mrs. Manson's father came to Warsaw with his family in 1856, and her home has been here since that time with the exception of 6 years spent in New York City. May Evelyn Knapp and Alvah C. Manson of Portsmouth, N.H. were married 12/17/1866 and resided in New York City until 1872 at which time they came to Warsaw and took up their residence. Mr. Manson passed away in 1922. Surviving Mrs. Manson are 2 daughters, Mrs. Charles Reynolds of Wollaston, Mass and Miss Evelyn Manson, living at home, 1 grandson and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Manson has been a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal church for more than 70 years. The missionary spirit for which Trinity is noted throughout the Diocese of Western, New York was kept alive by her during many trying periods in parish history. More than any one other person, Mrs. Manson made it possible for Bishop Brent to organize Wyoming-Genesee County Mission with the Trinity Church, Warsaw as the center and was always liberal in support of the project and a faithful attendant upon the services.
