Rickey J. Baker died on December 5, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA. Rickey was born on May 13, 1956 and was 65 years old. A few years ago, Rickey was rendered disabled from a fall, which forced him to leave his job at Double Tree Hotel in Charlottesville. Previously, Rickey was employed by Food Lion and Sam's Club of Charlottesville, VA.

In his early years, Rickey attended Stonewall Jackson High School.

Despite his many challenges, Rickey had a positive outlook and a strong will to live. He enjoyed his two sons and looked forward to his visits with them. He enjoyed eating sweets, a cold Pepsi, or a cup of coffee. Rickey loved the band Def Leppard and the Washington Football Team. He also enjoyed watching WWF Wrestling.

Rickey survived by his sons, Jeff Baker of Marshall, VA and Jacob Baker of Charlottesville, VA; stepmother, Joyce F. Baker, Warrenton,VA; stepbrothers: Michael W. Pullin, wife, Donna of Nokesville VA; Ted Pullin of Warrenton VA.; stepsisters: Cathy Pullin of Nokesville, VA; and Cindy A Bush of Jeffersonton VA; mother & father-in-law, Ernie and Carol Bugg of Marshall, VA; brother-in-Law, Donnie Hoover & wife, Lisa; Jacob's Mother, Leslie May of Charlottesville, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel J. Baker and mother, Peggy Conner Hines Baker of Haymarket, VA; his brother & sister-in-law, Ronnie Baker & Inge W. Baker of Louisa, VA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
