Don was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School ('65) and LaSalle University ('69). He had a long career in the Philadelphia area in finance and consulting. Don was an active and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima (Secane) and attended daily Mass there for nearly four decades. He was an avid Philly sports fan and was proud to be a season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Flyers since their inaugural season. For many years he served as a referee and assignor for PIAA basketball. Most of all Don loved spending time with his family, watching sports, golfing, and amassing a large list of books read from his local library.
He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helene (nee Lindsay), his children Michael (Elisa), Stephanie (Mark Ervin), Maureen (David O'Neill). He was the devoted grandfather of eight grandchildren; Hayden and Avery Taylor, Helena, Magdalen and Tessa Taylor Ervin, and Taylor, Sean and Declan O'Neill. Don will also be missed by his large extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 30 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Eugene Church, Oak Ave., Primos, PA, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
