Ryan Brent Pate, 37, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on May 3, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9th at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. There will be an opportunity for memories and stories to be shared at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and made payable to Ryan's mom, Lisa Murry.

Ryan was born on October 16, 1984, in Independence, Missouri, to Brent Pate and Lisa (Schlie) Murry. He was a 2003 graduate at Oak Grove High School. Ryan was a free spirit who loved his family, friends, and everything that revolved around them. He gave the best hugs and had an infectious laugh. Ryan always knew how to make you smile when you were feeling down. He was known for his eclectic style, which included his luscious dreadlocks, overalls, tie-dyed shirts, and really cool shoes. Ryan enjoyed all types of music, going to concerts, movies, and was a Pittsburg Steelers fan. He loved being outdoors which included camping and his love for disc golf.

Ryan was preceded by his grandparents, Lloyd and Virginia Pate; and his aunt, Sheila Pate.

His survivors include his mother, father, sister, nieces, grandparents, stepbrothers, and aunts, uncles, and extended family.
