She was converted at an early age and united with Dixon Grove Baptist Church.
Ms. Ellis was the mother of five sons. One preceded her in death, Robert Gibson.
Ms. Ellis leaves to mourn her four sons, Curtis Ellis, Nathan Holloway, and Elmore Ellis, Reidell Ellis; four daughters-in-law: Mary Alice Ellis, Yvonne Holloway, and Reta Mae Ellis, and Janice H. Ellis. Two sisters-in-law, Estella Ellis and Juanita Ellis; 15 Grandchildren, 16 Great grand, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
