PORTLAND — Carol M. Groover, 66, former Anderson resident, died Jan. 19, 2008, at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was employed as assistant plant manager of Pennville Custom Cabinets in Portland. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the White Corner and Hideaway Bar and Restaurant in Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Murvelle "Murv" Groover; daughters, Kimberly Springer of Anderson and Nancy and husband Jeff Collins; son, Doug and wife Joyce Groover of Anderson; three granddaughters; five grandsons; two great-grandsons; brother, John "Jack" Glotzbaugh of Elwood; and sisters, Sharon and husband John Fouts and Verna and husband Jerry Wilt.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portland, presided by the Rev. Robert Moran. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Elwood.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian, Portland, and will include a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service.

Memorial contributions may be made, through the funeral home, to Jay County Cancer Society.
