Ricky Barker, 62, of Charles City, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines.

A funeral service for Ricky Barker will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Daniel Larson from Cross Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Floyd, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Ricky Dean Barker, son of Ralph and Luella (Maudlin) Barker, was born June 20, 1960 in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Ricky proudly served in the United States Army. After his discharge he became a truck driver, of which he made a career and eventually became an owner/operator.

Ricky loved to travel and see new places. He enjoyed learning new things. Ricky was very passionate about God and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his two brothers: Rod and Marion Barker; four children: Jennifer, Sarah, Timothy and Grace; six grandchildren: Cayne, Sequoia, Hayden, Armanii, Travis and Georgia.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Luella Barker.
