Gary L Nickell, 70, passed away on March 14, 2022, at his home in Lewisville, Texas. Gary was born March 12, 1952, to the late Forrest and Lois Nickell.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Melissa, their daughter Meagan Rivera, her husband Michael Rivera, and their children Marcus and Madelyn. He is also survived by his brothers David, his wife Debbie, and Kevin, his wife Debbie, his mother-in-law Joyce Love, his brother-in-law Jay Love and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael.
Gary was born in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Sunset High School in 1970.
Gary was a financial analyst for McLane Food Services from 1988 to 2019. He was very involved in the Northway Baptist Church singles group where he met Melissa. He sang in the group Glory Road and went on mission trips. Gary and Melissa moved to Lewisville in 1987 where he was involved in choir and men's Bible Study at First Baptist Church in Lewisville. Gary loved to golf, travel, listen to old music, reading, and playing with his grandchildren.
He most enjoyed spending time with his family. The impact of his loss will be felt forever.
A celebration of life will take place 1 PM Monday, March 21, 2022, at First Baptist Church Lewisville.
