Walter "Wayne" Helton
December 8, 1943 - June 23, 2022

Helton, Walter "Wayne", passed away, Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Beloved husband of Mary Helton (nee Baumer). Loving father of Christy Helton and Mitch (Sherry) Helton. Proud grandfather of Amy (Nathan) Woodcock, Jeremy Bradley, April Bradley, Mitchell Daniel Helton and Kristen (Gaige) Merritt. Proud great grandfather of Stella, Scarlett, Sophia and Jackson and one on the way. Dear brother of Donald (Georgemma) Helton, Kenny (Joann) Helton, Doris (Robert) Gilliland, the late Lawrence Helton and the late Viola (the late Wilfred) Barnett.
Wayne loved his family more than anything in life. In his younger days he spent time with his kids as he coached their baseball and softball teams. He was a member of several bowling leagues as well as the Beach Bums CB Club where he often volunteered to help the community. He enjoyed his time spent shopping with his grandkids and playing games. Wayne loved being outdoors, spending time at the lake boating and playing pickle ball. He also found much fulfillment in being an airbrush artist, making gifts for family and friends. Wayne was quick witted and loved to joke and laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services: A private service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
Walter was married to Mary Ann Baumer on December 4, 1965 in Pacific, Missouri
