Mrs. Beverly J. (Welch) Harmon, 88, of Milford MA died Wednesday (June 24, 2020) at the Milford Regional Hospital after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late James W. Harmon, who died in 1983.

 

Beverly was born in Hackensack NJ, the daughter of the late Merritt M. and the late Jean A. (Gannon) Welch. She attended public schools in New Jersey and was a graduate of the Dean Academy in Franklin MA. She was also a graduate of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing.

 

Beverly was a registered nurse and had been employed as a visiting nurse for the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Visiting Nurses Association for many years.

 

Beverly had resided in Milford for many years. She was an avid reader and also loved to do needlepoint. Beverly also loved a nice glass of wine with a good meal.

 

Beverly is survived by her 3 children: Elizabeth Belcher, Patricia Harmon and Thomas Harmon and his wife Pamela, all of Milford MA; her 4 grandchildren: Michael Rigby, Steven Rigby, Thomas Harmon and Jonathan Harmon, all of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

 

Beverly was the mother of the late James Harmon who died in 2015 and the late Caroline Harmon who died in 2019.

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
