Ione Langille, 81, of Orion, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
Ione was born May 7, 1924, in Orion, to Andrew and Verna Seabloom Palmquist. She married Ralph A. Anderson Sept. 19, 1946, in Lisle, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1971. She later married Cletus A. "Skip" Langille Oct. 21, 1972, in Moline. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Ione was an office manager for Dr. Bruce Frieman, Moline, and Dr. Donald Alm in Eau Claire, Wis. She was also a local seamstress.
Ione was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion, and American Legion Auxilary, Orion. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary in Eau Claire.
Survivors (and spouses) include her son, Harold (Judith) Anderson, Homewood, Ill.; granddaughters, Kate Anderson, Ann Arbor, Mich., Melissa Anderson, Chicago; sister, Doris (Charles) Vawter, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, James (Dollie) Palmquist, Vancouver, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and brother, Carl Palmquist.
