(10/17/40 - 6/25/22) passed away peacefully with family by her side. Pat was born in Santa Ana, CA to Harry J. Verburg and Bernice Pinkley Verburg, where she spent her childhood. She participated in Girl Scouts and in Job's Daughters, and graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1958. Pat married Thomas B. Porter, and they had 3 children: Linda, Tommy Jr, and Lori. She worked as a nurse in CA, then eventually in New Mexico. When Pat retired from nursing, she became a full-time seamstress. After 40 years in NM, she moved to WA State to be near family. Pat was quite creative and had numerous hobbies and interests, though sewing was always her main passion. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Tommy B. She leaves behind her younger brother, John, her daughter Linda (Jeff) Farrington, her daughter Lori (Sean) O'Donnell, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many. Her ashes will be dispersed at Deer Lake, WA.
