The world lost John "Jack" O'Donnell, Jr. (born July 5, 1962 in Philadelphia, PA) too soon on May 4th, 2022 (near Temecula, CA) in a tragic automobile accident. Jack was preceded in death by his loving parents Kathleen (nee Murphy) and Jack Sr., and aunts, uncles, and grandparents whose roots anchored him. He is survived by his remaining aunts, Sr. Margaret Murphy and Jeania Murphy, his sister Kathleen, his cherished niece Maya, and a huge Extended Family of dear friends and cousins from coast to coast. Jack moved us with his innovative spirit, his charisma, his persistence in the face of adversity, and his power to inspire. Jack was brilliant. He was not afraid of thinking big, taking risks, or righting wrongs. He was generous and tender-hearted, an avid horseman (his first love), and a great story-teller. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Jack's life will take place on Thursday, July 7: Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Central in Jack's grade school parish of St. Isaac Jogues, preceded by visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. (The church is undergoing construction, so the Mass and visitation will take place in the Holy Family Room.) Following the Mass, we'll proceed to All Saints Cemetery where Jack's ashes will be buried with his parents, then gather for a late lunch and "Jack Stories." Details below.
