Louisville, KY/Canton - She smiled right up to the "END". It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Brenda Mae Jones formerly of Canton, announce her passing at her home as she wanted to be on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Brenda was born April 30, 1956, in Haywood County to the late Russell Eugene and Betty Payne Jones. For the years of her wonderful life, she was a blessing to her family and her many trusted friends who loved her dearly. Brenda was a strong and independent woman who enjoyed and did life her way. She loved her mountain heritage and she delighted in visiting the Stomping Grounds in Maggie Valley, "Picking in the Park", and stepping onto the dance floor with her natural clogging talent. She was a member of the Appalachian Cloggers dance team. We give thanks for her life and will always remember her sweet nature.

Surviving are her sister Diana Phillips and partner Craig Bishop of Louisville, KY; brother Jimmy E. Jones and his partner Debbie Trull of Canton; a very special niece – Amanda Phillips of Arizona; her daughter Terri Jones and fiancée Charles; son Jeffrey Jones and Shannon; grandson Logan; nieces Layla and Tiffany, and nephews Austin and Justin.

The family would like to especially thank Brenda's tireless, patient and loving caregiver and friend Steven Stutts; he was such a blessing to Brenda and the family during her extended illness.

As per Brenda's wishes, there will be no formal service.
