Roland Joseph Adams, Jr. of Vacherie, LA, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away on October 19, 2010 at the age of 59 at Ochsner Foundation Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.

He was employed by BBL Security as a security guard. He was baptized by Reverend Ernest Howard, Jr. and a member of Highway Baptist Church in Vacherie, LA.

Survived by wife, Stephanie Bailey Adams, two daughters, Enjoli Adams, Thibodaux, LA, Gianni Adams (Brian), Reserve, LA, and one son, Terran Bailey (Adele), of Vacherie, LA. His mother, Mildred Adams of Vacherie LA. His mother-in-law, Virtreater Bailey of Hahnville, LA. Four brothers, Clyde Adams (Lucinda) of Harvey, Wayne Adams (Stephanie) of Harvey, Brian Adams of Baton Rouge, and Adrian Adams of Vacherie. Two sisters, Patricia Moore of Baton Rouge, LA and Paula Dennis (Herbert) of Vacherie, LA. Five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, six grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Five aunts, Marian Jasmin (Arnold) of Vacherie, Octavia Davenport of Vacherie, Rose Chopin of Queens, NY, Ruby Williams of Los Angeles, CA.

Preceded in death by his sister Marchand Warren, father Roland Adams, Sr., father-in-law Bammer C. Bailey, grandparents, one nephew and several aunts and uncles. A private service was held at The Baloney Funeral Home on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 9:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed with a private burial.
