Shirley Rose Shaw, age 89, passed away peacefully in Ann Arbor at Brookdale Assisted Living with her loving family at her side, on February 1, 2022. She was born in Manistique, MI on June 25, 1932, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Dragos) Rozich. She attended Manistique schools and graduated with the class of 1950.

Shirley married T. Michael Shaw at St. Francis de Sales in Manistique on November 5, 1956. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2002. Shirley was a devoted homemaker and was of Catholic faith. She spent the greater part of her life in Traverse City, MI. Shirley was an avid bridge player, enjoyed collecting antiques, and had a great eye for sales. She was a beautiful gardener and enjoyed harvesting her flowers and picking berries. Shirley traveled extensively in the United States and internationally. She particularly enjoyed her trips to Croatia, China and Thailand. She lived in California for a time and established many friendships there. She very much appreciated the National Park Service and the parks of the southwest and northwest.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Leslie Botti of Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren Jenna Botti of Ypsilanti, MI and James "Jimmy" Botti of Chelsea, MI; brother-in-law Robert Mackinder of Dowling, MI and sister-in-law Janice Rozich of Grand Ledge, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband T. Michael Shaw; beloved son Rory Michael Shaw; siblings Jacob (Virginia) Rozich, Robert (Eunice) Rozich, Lois Mackinder and Pete Rozich.

Memorial contributions can be made in Shirley's name to Saint Vincent de Paul Society Service Center, 321 S. Cedar St., Manistique, MI 49854. Visitation will take place at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Manistique on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM with a Rosary at 1:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Ben Paris.
