Virginia Leah Lacy
APRIL 30, 1939 – JUNE 20, 2022

Virginia Leah Lacy, affectionately known as B'Bird passed away 6/20/2022.
She had a kind heart and enjoyed life to its fullest. She made everything fun. She loved family, friends, holidays, and celebrations.

She was born April 30th 1939 in Van Vleck, TX. The only child of William and Francis Harrington. She shared fond memories of her childhood, best friend Nancy Bridgewater, and other High School friends. She loved music and had the voice of an angel. She later attended Sam Houston State University.

She spent her early adult life in La Marque, TX raising her family and making life-long friends. She attended St. Michael's Episcopal Church where she was Choir Director for many years. In 1983 she and Bill left La Marque to reside in Kansas City, Birmingham and Oklahoma for his career with Morgan Stanley. Her only stipulation was they could only live in a city out of which Southwest Airlines flew to Houston. She was anticipating all the grandbabies. During her years in Oklahoma City she made more dear friends. She and Bill worked their way back to Texas and settled in Katy in 1998.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years William Lacy and their children and grandchildren listed below.

Penny Featherston and husband Gary. Their children Taylor Featherston and his wife Taylor, Drew Featherston, and Everett Featherston and his wife Tennille.

Mark Gartrell and wife Kim. Their children Caroline Cron and husband Spencer along with their children Clay (5) and Madeleine (3) and Keith Gartrell.

John Gartrell and wife Lacey and their children Cooper, Leah, and Lucy

William Lacy III and wife Anna. Their daughter Sarah Stiles and husband Craig along with their children Nolan, Taylor, and Parker.

Karen Brajcki and husband Jerry. Their daughter Jana Gomez and husband Brian along with their children Irie, Beckham, and Brooks.

Special thanks to Charlie Roy who took such great care of her the last six years.

She will always be loved, remembered and missed.
