Emily (Kay) Palmer Carr passed away peacefully at home on Thurs Jun 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband Harry of 61 years, Her children Greg (Pam) Carr, Chris (Kim) Carr, grandchildren Matthew (Stephanie) Carr, Erica (Austin) Iler, Leslie Carr (Matt Miller), Evan Carr, and one g-grandchild Oliver Iler. Sister Charlene (Lew) Taft, as well as many niece, nephews and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Peg Palmer, siblings Royce, Carole and Arthur and brother-in-law John.

Traveling was always an enjoyable hobby for Kay and Harry. Together they traveled to the Panama Canal, Hawaii, a back packing canoe trip in the Algonquin back country of Canada, cruises to the Bahamas and the Southern Caribbean and many trips through 49 of the 50 US, always stopping to visit many family and friends along the way.
Kay graduated from Haverling High School class of 1959. She was very involved in planning many high school reunions. Kay was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bath where she also served as a Deacon. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 48 years.

Kay's career began working at Cornell Cooperative Extension in the 4H office for nearly 40 years. Afterwards she worked as Deputy Town Clerk for the town of Bath until fully retiring with Harry in 2002.

Calling hours are being observed on Mon Jun 20, 2022 from 11 am-1 pm at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath where her Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Nondaga Cemetery Bath.

The family will provide the flowers. Any contributions may be made to the Deacons fund in Kay's memory at the First Presbyterian Church 6 East Morris St., Bath, NY 14810.
