After a sudden and brief illness, Patricia Ann Ryan died the morning of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Naperville, IL.

Patricia was the beloved sister of Cornelius Ryan, Mary Catherine (the late Richard) Lucy, Loretta Ryan (the late Marshall) Blume and the late Gerald (Caroline) Ryan. She was the cherished aunt of nine nieces and nephews.

Patricia attended St. Xavier College and received a master's degree in education from DePaul University. This led to a fulfilling career as an educator; she taught in the Chicago Public Schools for over 30 years. Ultimately, she specialized in teaching students with hearing impairments, facilitating their opportunity to learn.

A lifelong learner, Patricia traveled all over the world and spoke Spanish. After her retirement, she continued to give back by volunteering at orphanages in Guatemala.
