Daily Examiner, Grafton, 13 Dec 1935
After an illness extending over some months, Mr Bertram Percy Ginders, well-known dentist of Grafton, passed quietly away early on Wednesday morning at his residence, Fitzroy street, Grafton. The deceased, who was 62 years of age, was a son of the late Dr. Ginders, F.R.C.S., of Otago, New Zealand and was himself a graduate in dentistry of the University of that place, besides which he was a diplomatist of N.S.W. Registry of Dentists.
Mr. Ginders was practising in Grafton for the past 20 years, having previously practised in Lismore and during his residence in Grafton; outside of his profession he proved himself in every way a most estimable citizen. In his earlier days he was a keen international footballer and was enthusiastic in every branch of sport. It will be remembered that he refereed most of the important boxing contests in Grafton during the past decade. He was a prominent supporter of the Rowing Club, Swimming Club and Water Brigade. The deceased was a man of retiring nature, but of a very benevolent and kindly disposition. He was never lacking in giving his support when philanthropic and benevolent calls were made upon him and in this respect he was loyally backed up by his wife.
The body was taken by train to Sydney yesterday for interment and Mrs Ginders went down with the casket.
His mother is buried at Karori.
Edmund is buried with his grandfather Walter Jury Ockenden & 2 of his other daughters.
