September 12, 1963 - November 10, 2019

Jeffrey Scott Patrick, 56, of Newnan, Ga passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at his home on Welcome Road in Newnan. He was born on September 12, 1963, in Atlanta, Ga, to Kenneth and the late Margaret Ellen (Gordon) Patrick.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth Patrick, sister, Patricia Patrick, brother David (Lori) Patrick, his nephew, Chandler Patrick, his nieces, Madison Neill and Kimberlee Neill, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother.
He graduated from Morrow High School in 1980, and was a graduate of Bryan College in Dayton, Tn, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.
He also graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master's Degree in Sports Information Management. He also graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in Theology. Upon graduating, he immediately went to work at the university, keeping up with the stats for the baseball and basketball programs, and even working with Hall of Fame Tennessee Women's Basketball Coach, Pat Summit.
After leaving there, he went to work for a number of years as a Sports Statistician at the University of Bowling Green in Kentucky, and for another short period of time at Florida Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
After realizing his call to the ministry as a Missionary, he went on various long-term mission trips, including Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and his longest mission trip in Catalina Island in California.
He loved to spend his spare time reading, and he especially loved to study the Bible. He truly loved his church family and many friends at Providence. He was an avid sports fan, and he especially loved his home teams, the Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Falcons.
The family will receive friends at Providence Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019. A memorial service will immediately follow at the church at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Ken Norton and Pastor David Patrick officiating. The burial will also be held immediately following the memorial service at Providence Baptist Church.
