Elenora Emma Klein, 90, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, in Comfort.
She was born Oct. 8, 1917, the daughter of Willie and Bertha Roeder Klein. She grew up in the Tivydale area and was raised in the Catholic Church. She married Hilmar Klein on Sept. 21, 1933, and lived in the Morris Ranch and Camp Verde areas before moving to Center Point in 1950.
She and Hilmar were married 48 years until Mr. Klein's death in December 1981.
Survivors include three daughters: Dorothea and husband, James Schmid, of New Braunfels, Bernice Ellis of Greenville and June and husband, Ernie Kaiser, of Center Point; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Klein of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilmar Klein; her son-in-law, Ray Ellis; five sisters, Nellie Dartez, Gertrude Hale, Anita Tatsch and Hilda Tatsch; seven brothers, Oscar, Eugene, Edmund, Roman, Alouis, Victor and Felix Klein.
She was an active member of the Christian Church in Center Point since 1951. She was a supporter of the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department and Center Point schools.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by the Rev. Jonathan Parks. Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Schmid, Darryl Schmid, Michael Ellis, Clint Kaiser, Ernie Kaiser and James Tuch. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Schmid, Tom Harst, Ronnie Wimberley and Richard Day.
Memorials may be made to Center Point Christian Church, Center Point Volunteer Fire Department or the Center Point Public School Foundation (designated for scholarships). Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
