Mr. D. F. Thomas, of Monroe, was married in this city yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, to Miss Gussie Osborne. The ceremony was performed at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. P. a. Osborne, 401 Pine street, by Dr. Jno. W. Stagg, of the Second Presbyterian church. After receiving the congratulations of their friends, the newly-wedded left for Monroe, their future home.

Death of Mrs. D. F. Thomas.
A paragraph in The Observer's Monday letter yesterday morning announced the death, at her home at that place, of Mrs. D. F. Thomas. Her maiden name was Miss Gussie Osborne, and she was a daughter of Mr. P. A. Osborne, of Charlotte. For some time she was connected with the millinery department of Belk Brothers, in Charlotte. She was married to Mr. Thomas about one year ago. Her body was buried in Monroe yesterday. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Osborne, and a delegation of clerks from Belk Brothers' store, attended the funeral services.
