Adelia M. Coe, 80, of Soule Road, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2005, in Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care Facility. She was born on May 19, 1925 in Whitestown, NY, a daughter of Felix Sr. and Ethel Moon Clarke and was educated in Whitesboro schools. Adelia was united in marriage to Clarence Smith in August of 1942, he passed away on August 16, 1944, she later married Alton B. Coe on March 20, 1949 in Utica. She was a member of West Schuyler United Methodist Church, Ava Dorfman Senior Center, Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #300 and the Gold Star Wives. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Conover, West Pepperell, MA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Cherrie Smith, Boonville, Allen and Catherine Coe, Durhamville; a stepdaughter, Betty M. Douglas, Oklahoma City, OK; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Alton and Florence Coe, Oneida, Kenneth and Rosalie Coe, Canastota; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene Mott, Frances and Arthur Parshall and Patricia and Dominick Teti, all of Floyd; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Interment will be in Rome Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ava Dorfman Senior Center.
