James Moran Lacy (Jim) the son of Moran Owen Lacy and Wanda Lee Foust Lacy was born in the Estelle Hospital in Heber Springs, Arkansas on March 11, 1949 and passed away in Serieville, Tennessee on June 21, 2022 at the age of 73 years.
He was a member and attended the Pleasant Ridge General Baptist Church in Ida, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He enlisted in February 1971 and was discharged in August 1971 and was stationed in San Diego, California. He was in the Marine Reserves from 1971 through 1976. Jim was known as the Mayor of Ida, he enjoyed restoring antique tractors, taking pictures and arranging them through the years as a history of the Lacy family and he was a beef cattle farmer.
He was proceded in death by his parents Moran and Wanda Lacy, his grandparents Zeb and Oma Foust Lacy and Jack and Stella Foust and a brother in law Oran Wayne Reeves.
Survivors are his wife Patricia Martin Lacy of Ida, daughter Anna Stephens and husband Tommy of Vilonia, son Brady Lacy of Conway, a sister Sherri Logan and husband Marvin of Ida, sister in law Maxine Reeves of Concord, brother in law Kevin Martin of Concord, an uncle HarolDene Lacy and wife Maxine of Ida and an aunt Glenna Adms of Coloma, Michigan, one granddaughter Harper Reese Stephens, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews,cousing, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be graveside, Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Antioch Cemetery, Drasco, Arkansas by Bro. Cheyenne Newberry and Pastor Odell Altom. Pallbearrs will be Brian Logan, Darrin Logan, Tommy Stephens, Ray Dill, Keith Conklin, Jerry Rackley and Raymond Sartain, honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Sartain, Jerry Lacy, Jim Lacy (Tip) , Harold Conklin and members of the Plant Board Crew.
